ORAL PRESENTATIONS
- If you have been awarded an oral presentation (Plenary, Concurrent, or Select ePoster Discussion talks), you must also bring a poster of your work and participate in your assigned Poster Session (either Session 1 or 2).
- Due to CME Guidelines, ALL presentations must include a disclosure slide at the beginning of your presentation. If there is a real or perceived conflict of interest pertaining to your work, an announcement must be made prior to your oral presentation and also displayed on your poster.
- Only one paper or poster may be read or presented by the same author at the Meeting, although a presenter may be a co-author of any number of papers. The material must not have been published prior to submission of the abstract or presented at any international meeting prior to the date of presentation at 2024 Meeting. Simultaneous submission of the same abstract to other meetings is prohibited.
If you have been selected for a PLENARY presentation, please note the following:
Before the Annual Meeting:
- In an effort to increase the visibility of your submitted work at the 2024 SID Annual Meeting, the SID Committee on Scientific Programs requests that you upload an image of your physical poster. Plenary presenters are to upload the image of via the SID’s virtual platform system for inclusion in the Meeting App.
- Details about the uploading process (file type, size…) can be found by using the steps below.
Step 1: Visit https://sid2024.abstractcentral.com
Step 2: Enter your username & password (used to submit your abstract)
Step 3: Select “Messages” at the top right hand corner
Step 4: Select “Invitations” from the drop-down menu. The deadline to upload an image of your poster is May 13, 2024 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
- If you do not want information from your slide (image) shared via social media channels, please input (or watermark) “DO NOT POST.” This is designed to minimize the chances that your work will appear on the internet or social media channels.
At the Annual Meeting in Dallas:
- Plenary talks are scheduled on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Friday, May 17, 2024 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, and Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 8:40 am – 9:40 am. You should have been notified with day/time you’ve been selected to present.
- Plenary talks will be ten (10) minutes in length, followed by two (2) minutes of moderated Q & A.
- Please bring your slides to the Speaker Ready Room (De La Salle) in advance of your talk to ensure compatibility with the A/V systems and to address any changes.
- You must also be present in your assigned poster board space during either Poster Session 1 or 2. Your presentation day is based upon your category and its assigned date and time. See schedule at bottom of this page. Your participation will be for additional Q&A opportunities.
- Please bring your physical poster to Trinity Exhibit Hall for placement on your assigned Poster Board space.

- Poster/Exhibit Hall Session 1 will take place on Thursday, 5/16/24 from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. This will be for all ODD #’d Final ID abstracts.
- Poster/Exhibit Hall Session 2 will take place on Friday, 5/17/24 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. This will be for all EVEN #’d Final ID abstracts.
